The Product:
A phone based cooking app for the casual novice chef.

The Problem | The Goal
The everyday person can be a little unsure of themselves in the kitchen, or they may have some recipes in their repertoire but may be looking for new ideas. This app will contain community pooled favorites from it's user base, creating an "each one teach one" scenario for tasty meals in the palm of your hand.
User Research
Users really liked the option to vote for their favorites, but to prevent some of the lesser known recipes from being lost a "Recipe of the day/week" function will be implemented.
The user commentary function helps add a sense of community to the app, it also opens the door for users to exchange notes in regards to their own takes on the posted recipe.
The meal prep time indicator was universally deemed to be a useful feature
Mockups
The app takes a progressive approach once the user selects a recipe. After the user makes their choice the recipe opens in long form. Once completed the user can leave a review of the recipe & even share their accomplishments on their social media accounts.
